CHILLICOTHE — Both Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center campuses were closed Monday after administrators received bomb threats targeting the main campus and the adult education campus, district officials said.
The district announced the threats on Facebook on the morning of Oct. 5, saying school leaders were working with law enforcement to sweep the buildings. Classes were canceled for the day at both locations. "Student and staff safety remains our highest priority," the district's post said.
No additional details about the source of the threats were released Monday. Law enforcement did not immediately report any arrests in connection with the threats.
Waverly City Schools also operated on a delay Monday because of a reported threat, continuing a year marked by repeated threats to schools across southern Ohio.
